Dubbing is a kind of language arts. Choosing to be a dubber means that you have to give up your own personal voice feature. At long as you're holding a microphone, you're going to play without any hesitation. Your features, including the way you speak and your accent, could not be noticed by others. The only thing you can show up is the feature of your character.
Maple Leaf students are not professional voice actors and have not been systematically trained before. At the same time, this competition also requires them to use full English. These obstacles are undoubtedly a challenge to them. However, fear of difficulty is never the style of Maple Leaf students. On the contrary, facing the difficulties is the way they live.
They spent their spare time getting familiar with the actors’ lines, trying to figure out the character traits of the assigned characters, cultivating the tacit understanding among the members. Meanwhile, they also learned to edit their own videos, silenced the videos and made PPT for their performance. Eventually, ten groups entered the final round. We also invited our high school teachers who will bring us several dubbing shows.
What kinds of performance will those ten groups of players and versatile teachers bring to us? Let's hear their voice on December 7th!
